Job Summary:
The Enrollment Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive communication strategy for Drury University’s Day School, Drury GO, and Graduate programs. This role involves creating, coordinating, and managing communication flows across multiple platforms to effectively engage prospective students and stakeholders. Collaboration with internal teams, external vendors, and university partners is essential to ensure brand consistency and impactful messaging. Team member will pay very close attention to details.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and distribute emails, text messages, direct mail, print materials, and oversee admission micro-site and social media platforms, in collaboration with the Director of Admission, Associate Director of Campus Visits and Events, and the CRM Manager.
- Create and manage a comprehensive timeline that aligns with departmental priorities and program-specific needs.
- Ensure materials for mailed items are prepared, ordered, and available as needed.
- Coordinate with the CRM Manager to log all communications accurately.
- Maintain real-time communication on timelines with admission counselors.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of academic program offerings and department updates.
- Keep a running list of available student profiles to incorporate into marketing materials.
- Identify and curate campus photos for use in various projects.
- Work with external vendors to develop, approve, and distribute print materials and mailing projects.
- Collaborate with university partners to ensure consistent messaging, brandings, and advertising strategies.
- Work under the Slate CRM Manager to ensure accurate data usage, including counts, addresses, messaging, and deliverability.
- Report on effectiveness of campaigns- print and digital.
- Maintain and regularly update a communication calendar to manage deadlines effectively.
- Ensure compliance with relevant privacy and communication regulations.
- Schedule and facilitate bi-weekly meetings to review proofs, brainstorm, and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Coordinate communication calendars across Day School, Drury GO, and Graduate programs to maintain a unified “one-voice” approach.
- Organize and assigns tasks while managing workflow between Marketing & communications (M&C) and university clients.
- Facilitate projects and timelines to ensure deliverables are met efficiently.
- Monitor and adjust project priorities to meet changing needs and deadlines.
- Manage office operations based in Bay Hall to support effective collaboration and communication.
- Create creative briefs for all projects for the marketing office.
- Be able to determine appropriate purchase quantities for materials to meet annual needs.
- Utilize reports and review past invoices to asses previous purchases and guide current decisions.
- Be cost aware between items and departmental budget.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing communication, preferably in higher education.
- Knowledge in customer relationships management (CRM) platforms, Slate preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with higher education enrollment practices.
- Experience with direct mail and print production processes.
- Knowledge of branding and marketing strategies for diverse audiences.
