One of the world's top Consumer Goods Manufacturers is seeking an Indirect Sourcing Category Manager to manage the procurement of logistics services and other indirect categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the sourcing and procurement of logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Oversee procurement activities for various indirect categories such as IT, Real Estate, professional services, and facilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance meets company standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, improve service levels, and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement
- Deep understanding of global logistics and supply chain management
- Experience managing multiple categories
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth understanding of logistics and indirect procurement best practices and market trends.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
