What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Operator position at Dunlop Aircraft Tyres Inc.?
JOB PURPOSE:
- Through the management of a tire analysis program, this role will support the continuous development and process sustainability of retreading aircraft tires.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment.
- Perform tire sectioning, adhesion sample preparation, in process tire investigations.
- Participating in continuous improvement projects.
- Other tasks as assigned.
KEY INTERFACES:
- Support Process Engineering through management of a tire analysis program.
- Will interface with management to assist with projects and resolve queries.
- Aid Technical Support team through tire dissection for failure investigations
- Aid Quality department in any in-process quality investigation through tire inspection/dissection.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Comfortable working in a noisy environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Sound knowledge of industrial machines and mechanical processes.
- Demonstrated sound judgment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal oversite.
- Ensure a tidy, clean, and safe process equipment area.
- PPE required-Safety Glasses/Safety shoes/Cut resistant gloves.
- Lifting requirement: 45lb deadlift.
