This position focuses on the big picture in order to improve processes and develop HR strategies that align the organization's overall business strategies.
Primary Responsibilites

This position focuses on the big picture in order to improve processes and develop HR strategies that align the organization's overall business strategies.
Primary Responsibilites
- Provide expert consultation to assigned customer organizations and make recommendations on key HR strategies, initiatives, issues, and programs
- Collaborate with cross functional partners to address a variety of topics such as business and workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development
- Develop effective solutions and strategies to support key objectives
- Counsel assigned customer organizations on interpretation and application of relevant policies and regulations for situation-specific issues
- Facilitate resolution of HR concerns and advise on alternative approaches to resolving issues and opportunities for improvement
- Support and/or lead basic HR process improvements and HR projects, with effective change management principles
- Provide thoughtful and tactful communications with the utmost of diplomacy at all times, treating others with dignity and respect, while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
- Partner as needed on union matters
- Oversee onboarding and employee recognition programs
- Develop and maintain job descriptions in collaboration with company leaders
- Assist with employee relations, including investigations and disciplinary process
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and update HR policies accordingly
- Acts as a point of contact for employee benefits and a liaise with benefits department
- Provides support with payroll data entry and HR administrative tasks
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 years HR generalist experience in a multi-site environment; union experience a plus
- Bachelor's in Business, Human Resources or other related fields preferred
- Certifications from human resources professional organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management, HR Certification Institute, or WorldatWork a plus
- Demonstrated ability to build solid relationships at all levels including senior executives
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus; ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate at all levels
- High level of professionalism, personal integrity and dependability
- Adept at working in a cross-functional environment in a highly collaborative manner
- Extremely organized and able to conceptualize solutions when faced with complex challenges
- Ability to travel to dispensary locations 2-3 times per week, sometimes in other states
