What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rowing Instructor position at Duxbury Bay Maritime School Inc?
As a part-time Rowing Instructor you will be a role model and instructor for rowing participants on Duxbury Bay. Instructors are responsible for rowing instruction and for the safety of the athletes while on campus in the rowing center, and on the water. Duties include driving a motorboat independently and navigating safely while coaching athletes on the water, teaching our core curriculum, regular equipment maintenance, and modifying instruction in response to changes in weather. Courses range from Learn To Row, Intermediate and Competitive programs for both youth and adults.
College rowing experience is preferred, and all candidates are required to complete First Aid, CPR, AED, SafeSport and motor boating safety certification courses before the start of programs.
