Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of the Wood Floor Manager is to oversees the maintenance and restoration of wood flooring within the clients accounts of Dynamond Building Services, a janitorial and floor care company. Responsibilities include managing a team of technicians, developing and implementing cleaning and restoration procedures, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining client relationships. The role requires expertise in wood floor care, project management skills, budgeting, basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, GMail, Google Drive, Emailing) and the ability to train and support staff effectively. Clients accounts are distributed across different states (notedly Utah, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico).

Daily tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Interacting with Company Operations Management, Administrative Personnel and assisting clients with Relationship Management;
  • Suggesting, when applicable, with relevant upsells to help prospective and existing clients obtain all service solutions available to them;
  • Preparing and submitting weekly operations reports to management and Administration office;
  • Assisting other team members as necessary;
  • Submitting Payroll reports and timely addressing employees timekeeping issues;
  • Finding, Hiring, Disciplining and Training Employees;
  • Responding to On-Call Emergencies as Needed.

Compensation Package:

Hours: Fulltime / Flexible schedule - some weekend work may be required. Travel is required.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Overseeing Wood Floor, Special Projects Crews, and Supervisors in Multiple Buildings; Assisting with the management of Inventory Levels and Supplies for accounts within the assigned region; Meeting with Clients and Facility Managers and performing Relationship Management; Performing assigned Quality Inspections; Training Employees, Supervisors and other Managers; Responding to On-Call Emergencies as Needed; Being Focused on Safety - helping to train employees on Safety topics, performing incident investigations and helping with Risk Management; Performing equipment maintenance; Performing Budgetary Management and Analysis; Timely fulfilling Reporting duties. Other duties as assigned.

Spanish speaking is not required but it is a plus.

Physical Demands: Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend and kneel down, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. May occasionally lift or move items of up to 30 pounds. Employee may be occasionally exposed to body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Employee may be required at time to drive for long periods.

  • Dynamond Building Services will run background checking (including criminal) and DMV/Driver records checking as this is a position of trust with such employee dealing with company proprietary information and acting on behalf the company in different ways (including handling existing and potential customer data, relationship management, company contracts, etc).
