Controller

Dynasty Spas is a well-established manufacturing facility located in Athens, Tennessee which employs anywhere from 120-200 employees. It is part of a larger group of companies having operations throughout North America with sales of over $275 million.

Job Purpose

The Controller will perform and oversee all Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting functions of the company along with performing month end and year end within time constraints set by head office. The Controller will also be responsible for current assets management, budgets, cost analyses, as well as monitoring profitability and performance in all aspects of the business.

The controller will report to the assistant controller of the holding company.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

· Perform and coordinate the complete financial and management accounting of the company

· Review and analyze monthly financial statements and budget variances

· Analyze gross margins and maintain cost accounting systems

· Coordinate and supervise the collection with clients

· Track and coordinate inventory management

· Establish and monitor company budgets and operations.

· Maintain conformity with all legal and governmental obligations.

· Collaborate in the management and development of information and customer service systems.

· Support managers of the company

Qualifications/Skills/Specifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

· CPA Certification or equivalent

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

· Well versed in MRP software environment

· Strong Microsoft Office 365 and Excel skills

· High business sense, acumen and critical thinking.

· Hands on approach

· Professional rigor and intellectual ability

· Excellent in bookkeeping skills and internal control practices

· Knowledge of activity-based costing and lean practices

· Microsoft environment programming experience is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation, interpersonal, and customer service skills are imperative.

Plant wide relationships from production employees to Executive Team. Also expected relationships with vendors, community leaders, educational leaders, etc.
