Objective Summary
A CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines used in manufacturing processes. Operators must load materials, adjust machine settings, and monitor operations to ensure precise and high-quality output. They are also tasked with inspecting finished parts for accuracy, troubleshooting machine issues, and performing routine maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC equipment to manufacture parts and components according to technical specifications, ensuring precision and quality.
- Prepare and adjust machine settings, tools, and materials for each job, ensuring optimal performance and proper alignment.
- Continuously oversee machine performance during production, making real-time adjustments and troubleshooting issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn tools or parts to minimize machine downtime and prevent malfunctions.
- Understand and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper machine setup and part production.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear necessary protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment and minimize accidents or injuries.
- Identify machine or material problems and resolve them promptly, minimizing production delays and ensuring high-quality output.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Essential
- High School Diploma/ GED
- 2 years' experience is preferred.
- Ability to use sound judgment and reasoning.
- Ability to program in M and G-code and conversational programming languages.
- Ability to prioritize, managing time and workload.
- To be able to read a ruler, tape measure, micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret part prints.
- To be able to frequently stand and walk.
- To be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- To be at least 18 years old.
Preferred
- 4 years' experience is preferred.
