Accountant - Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, handling payroll administration, and leading cost accounting efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger functions and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Build and maintain relationships with dealers and vendors, handling accounts payable/receivable and overseeing payment terms.
• Process monthly commission reports and facilitate payments for independent sales representatives.
• Oversee new employee onboarding, bi-weekly payroll processing, and benefits administration.
• Monitor cash accounts, review receipts and expenses, and collaborate with banking partners.
• Manage relationships with insurance providers (workers' compensation, health, property & casualty), including annual renewals and claims processing.
• Develop and implement cost accounting methods to enhance product cost transparency.
• Support ERP system enhancements and identify opportunities to improve financial reporting efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• Experience: Prior accounting experience in discrete manufacturing.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Additional Skills:
• Understanding of basic HR processes and benefits administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and partner with employees across various departments.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
