Civil Project Manager (Site Development)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead site development projects from initial planning through construction completion. This role requires a proven leader with expertise in civil engineering, land development, permitting, and construction oversight. The ideal candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies, and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide design teams through project development, permitting, and the preparation of construction documents.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, technical specifications, and reports for DOT approvals, bidding, and construction.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and planners to execute site development projects efficiently.
- Act as the primary client representative, leading meetings with government agencies and stakeholders.
- Manage the bidding process, including bid evaluations and award recommendations.
- Provide construction administration services, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and monitoring project progress.
- Support business development in the Southeast region by maintaining client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Define project scopes, develop fee proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.
- Maintain clear communication with project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10 years of experience in civil engineering and site development.
- Strong ability to lead client and municipal board meetings for medium to large-scale projects.
- Expertise in land use planning, zoning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with project documentation, permitting processes, and construction oversight.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding junior engineers.
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing abilities.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software and project management tools.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for site visits and meetings.
