CNC Programmer

Job Description:

Role: Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer (1st Shift)

Location: Ixonia, WI (Onsite)

Job type: FTE

Programming of:

• CNC Lathes
• CNC Vertical machine center
• CNC Horizontal machining centers

Process Improvement on current production parts:

• Access cost savings across a variety of factors (i.e. tooling selection, cycle time, tool life, etc.) Update and maintain accurate process documentation.

Prototyping new parts:

• Creating program files via SurfCam (2 yrs exp preferred but not required).
• Creating accurate process documentation.
• Proving effectiveness of tooling selections and cutting strategies.
• Running CNC machine during prototypes.
• Familiar with Renishaw CNC Probes (preferred but not required)

Ability to:

• Read detailed drawings.
• Read G code.
• Trouble shoot machining processes that cause non conformance.
• Understand basics of GD&T.
• Clearly communicate with employees, peers, and management.
• Working knowledge of machining centers, lathes, speeds, feeds and tooling required. Must have a good mechanical aptitude and be able to work independently. Minimum of 5 years CNC experience. Must have a strong working knowledge of different machine tooling and cutting strategies.
• Two-year degree plus at least 2 years of programming experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
