Job Role: Financial Controller

Location: Hazlet, NJ 07730 & NYC/Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Revenue Reconciliation & Controls – Ensure accuracy and integrity in product revenue reconciliations and maintain strong accounting controls.
• Financial Reporting – Oversee monthly financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Regulatory Compliance & Audits – Manage 17a-5 and SOX audit requirements, including invoicing, reconciliations, and controls testing.
• P&L Analysis – Perform daily and monthly P&L accounting, reconciling desk P&L reports by client.
• Senior Leadership Support – Provide timely financial insights and respond to ad hoc financial requests from executive leadership.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration – Act as a project management liaison between the holding company and subsidiaries, ensuring smooth financial operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience:
• 10 years in securities accounting and/or broker-dealer operations within the brokerage industry.
• Financial & Regulatory Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• In-depth understanding of SEC and FINRA regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAGE and Inteliclear.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modeling.
• Key Skills:
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
• Experience in a brokerage or trading environment.
• Series 7, 27, or CPA certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
