Human Resources Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and manage our HR functions. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, payroll, compliance, and strategic planning to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The HR Manager acts as a bridge between management and employees, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate workforce strategies to maximize talent utilization.
- Oversee recruitment, interviews, selection, and hiring processes.
- Support all office management/Payroll functions involving compensation, benefits administration, implementation of policies, procedures, E-Verify, onboarding/orientation, compliance.
- Plan and supervise employee training and benefits programs.
- Manage benefits administration, and all office management needs for outsourcing
- Manages DOT/ insurance and healthcare provider relationships.
- Manage all human resources services, policies (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, UI-CO).
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Set and review employee KPIs with top management.
- Prepare and manage the HR annual budget.
- Maintain up-to-date labor demographics and employee records.
- Advise managers on HR issues.
- Supervise HR support staff and handle staffing concerns, including mediating disputes and disciplinary actions.
- Validate and update HR entries in MITER, and SAGE platforms.
- Monitor and manage overtime costs across projects.
- Stays informed of latest safety regulations and OSHA regulations and efficiently implements them company-wide .
- Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations in the group of companies.
Duties / Responsibilities
Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy.
- Assists employees in filling out the paperwork for their benefits packages.
- Explains the various benefit options for new employees.
- Acts as liaison between employees and insurance vendors.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- Leads informational sessions on company benefits.
- Manages the talent acquisition process; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assist in managing Workers' Comp, handle company unemployment, payroll, answer inquiries by employees and clients, schedule in-house and external events, and provide additional assistance as needed to ensure goals are met.
- Accountable for recruiting and onboarding new employees, serving as sole benefits administrator.
- Maintain OSHA complaints record keeping, safety and health program update, OSHA 300, maintain OSHA injury and illness record and submit electronically to OSHA.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Social Science, or Industrial Engineering.
3–5 years of experience in HR management.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership, planning, and organizational abilities.
Proficient in software such as Office, SAGE, and MITER or related platforms.
Analytical thinking and results-oriented mindset.
Self-control, emotional stability, and resilience.
Proficient in English and Spanish.
