NOCO Humane is an independent nonprofit working to further the compassionate, safe, and responsible relationship between animals and people. A trusted, responsive community leader, providing programs and services essential to the high quality of life for animals and people in northern Colorado.

Full-time (40 hours), exempt, salary. Expected hiring range is $78k to $85k annually commensurate with applicable experience and education. Relocation assistance is available. Closes February 23rd, 2025, or when filled.

As our Human Resources Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting our mission of promoting animal welfare while helping our team thrive. You'll report directly to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer and oversee key HR functions, including:

  • Talent Acquisition: Find and onboard top-notch talent who share our passion for animals.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop innovative strategies to keep our team motivated and inspired.
  • Benefits Administration: Be the go-to expert on benefits, ensuring our employees feel supported.
  • Compliance & Policy: Keep us ahead of the curve with up-to-date HR policies and training.
  • Leadership Support: Provide guidance to our Leadership Team and grow alongside them.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 years of HR experience (PHR or PHR-CA preferred).
  • Expertise in HRIS systems (experience with Paycom is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, including Colorado-specific regulations.
  • Emotional intelligence, integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
  • A love for animals and a desire to support the people who care for them.

Location: Larimer campus (primary), Weld campus (1–2 days per week).
