Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components from various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires a strong understanding of laser technology, programming, and precision measurement tools.
Duties
- Operate and maintain laser cutting machines to perform precise cutting tasks on sheet metal and other materials.
- Program laser cutting machines according to specifications and production requirements.
- Utilize micrometers and other precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Assemble components as needed, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including electrical discharge machining and milling machines, to ensure optimal performance.
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling as required.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in laser cutting operations or similar manufacturing roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with programming laser cutting machines is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of tooling, lathe operations, and milling machines is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
