EAG is starting the search for a Senior Division Order Analyst to join our team.

The Senior Division Order Analyst (Land) will manage complex new DO setups and change requests, communicate with owners and clients daily, coordinate with Accounting on PPAs and clean up projects, and support
new client onboarding, acquisitions, or system conversions.

Strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team. All members of the EAG team are expected to actively participate in our team environment, communicate with our customers in a professional and service-oriented manner, and identify process improvement and optimization opportunities. As EAG continues to grow, members must be able to handle changing priorities, new challenges, and multi-tasking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send division orders for new wells and change of ownership.

  • Process complex division order changes, Owner Funds Releases, and Pay Code Changes

  • Prepare and/or review escheat reports and other regulatory filings.

  • Accurately process complex Division Order changes and revisions based on provided documentation, including but not limited to title opinions, oil and gas leases, curative, conveyances, probate/heirship data and other legal documents.

  • Work with Client Land Team to review Leases, Broker Reports, Title, Curative, Deal Sheets, Surveys, etc. and build Expense and Revenue DOI decks based on information received. Simultaneously perform complex review and analysis for multiple Wells / Units and meet applicable state regulations for issuing first payments.

  • Ensure ownership changes are made in compliance with all established state regulations.

  • Resolve and respond to complex owner inquiries; assist division order analysts on similar inquiries as needed.

  • Coordinate with Accounting regarding PPA’s and clean-up projects.

  • Support due diligence activities related to oil and gas acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers.

  • Participate in system implementation and conversion efforts, including system testing and data validation, as requested.

  • Train and mentor Division Order Analysts, as requested.

  • Assist your Manager with projects, escheat, and other tasks as needed.

  • Review your assigned ticket queue in ConnectWise daily, ensuring you are communicating with the ticket requestor regularly, and completing and closing out tickets before they are due.

  • Hybrid, Onsite 3 days/week.

Experience, and Educational Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited state-certified program required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 7-10 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry in Division Orders, Lease Records, Land departments or similar role required.

  • Strong knowledge of Division Order Analyst duties and functions of Division Order department.

  • Proven ability to ensure work is accurate and completed in a timely manner.

  • Advanced computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with multiple departments including land, owner relations, accounting, and operations.

  • Strong ability to learn new tools/technology quickly.

  • Experience utilizing the following accounting software and tools a plus:

  • Quorum on Demand (OGSys), Quorum Enterprise, Enertia, Bolo, W Energy, SAP, M-Files, or ConnectWise Manage, PowerBi, Monday.Com or similar project management and reporting tools.

  • Ability to be fast-paced and capable of meeting deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work for multiple clients throughout the month and shift priorities/focus between those clients’ needs effectively.

  • Working knowledge of oil and gas law and/or state specific ownership related law, including statutory guidelines, unclaimed property regulations, probate/laws of decent and distribution, contracts, etc.

  • Experience in the various basins across the lower 48 a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional research, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Perform work in an ethical manner.

Physical Requirements& Working Conditions:

  • Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8 hours or more) in an office environment.

  • Communication Skills (Speech/Reading): Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. Ability to understand and deliver instructions in multiple formats, including written, verbal, diagram, and schedule forms.

  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 10 pounds as needed.

  • Vision/Hearing Abilities: Capability to interpret a range of instructions presented in various formats (written, verbal, diagram, or schedule).

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines effectively.

  • Comfortable with shifting priorities and able to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Aptitude to learn new technology, products, and concepts

  • Must be based in Houston, Texas.

  • Must be eligible to work for ANY employer in the United States (H1B sponsorship not available at this time ).
