Earl Enterprises owns and operates approximately 250 restaurants, including the Planet Hollywood, Buca di Beppo, Bertucci’s, Brio, Bravo!, Earl of Sandwich, TooJay’s, and Chicken Guy! brands. In addition, Earl Enterprises licenses and franchises intellectual property and invests in other business opportunities both inside and outside of the restaurant space, including Virtual Dining Concepts, a fast-growing company which creates celebrity backed ghost kitchen brands.
POSITION SUMMARY
Earl Enterprises seeks an attorney with five or more years of experience (previous in-house experience a plus, but not required) with significant lease/contract drafting experience to be based in the company’s headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The Corporate Counsel will work with departments across the company to provide legal counsel and complete legal projects in a wide variety of areas, including leasing, contracting, franchising, compliance, transactions, litigation management, dispute resolution, employment, and intellectual property. The Corporate Counsel will advise and offer practical solutions to senior leadership on a wide range of business and strategic legal issues. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, significant leasing experience, exceptional attention to detail, be self-motivated, highly organized, and conduct their work with a sense of ownership.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of complex agreements to support the business, including leases, franchise agreements, supplier agreements, corporate documents, transaction documents, demand letters, and confidentiality agreements.
- Provide advice and counsel to leaders in Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, and Human Resources.
- Research applicable federal, state, and local laws and ensure company-wide compliance.
- Efficiently manage outside counsel if and as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Competency Statement(s)
- 5 years of legal experience, including practicing in a top tier law firm and/or in-house environment.
- Significant lease/contract drafting experience.
- Superb interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and independently manage a high volume of work.
- Ability to move fast and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Sound legal judgment, commercial awareness, and business acumen.
- Highest degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical judgment.
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the Florida bar.
