Job Title : Evening Child Care Teacher
Location : Detroit, Michigan
Job Type : Part-Time / Full-Time (3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM)
Wage : Starting at $15-21.50 / hr Depending on Credentials obtained. Example CDA Cert, AA, BA Degree (Higher the Degree the Higher the pay rate.

Early Start Childcare is looking for a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Evening Child Care Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality care and engaging educational activities for children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental growth during evening hours. If you’re passionate about working with children and can foster a fun, nurturing, and educational environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities :
Supervise children in a safe, structured, and engaging environment.Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.Monitor children’s behavior and apply positive discipline techniques as needed.Communicate with parents and guardians , providing regular updates on children's activities, behavior, and development.Assist with meals / snacks and ensure children’s nutritional needs are met.Support children with personal care needs , including toileting, hygiene, and overall well-being.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment at all times.Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth operation of the program and effective communication.Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in child care and early education.Respond to emergencies, accidents, or behavioral issues following Early Start Childcare's policies and licensing requirements.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA) or related degree is a plus.AA, BA OR MA Preferred due to Centers GSRP & Head Start program Interest.Prior experience in child care, early childhood education, or related fields is preferred but not required.Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.CPR and First Aid certification (or the ability to obtain upon hire).Strong communication , organizational , and interpersonal skills .Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their safety and well-being.Must be available to work evenings, typically from 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 30 PM .Benefits :
