ERC is looking for Candidates with Leadership, Safety, Quality & Production as a Mindset... As a Project Manager you’ll be a key member of our team, working with your colleagues to bring civil development plans to reality. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, be highly organized, a good problem solver, efficient, and must be detailed oriented. Participates in the conceptual development of a project from start to finish and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
Primary Duties:
- Responsible for all aspects of construction from permitting through project close-out.
- Direct project activities including scheduling, budgeting and reporting.
- Review request for changes and provide approval.
- Negotiate and interpret the intent of contract documents and mediate disputes as needed.
- Prepare construction updates for the engineering group and operations.
- Create schedules for all phases of work including pre-construction activities, construction activities and coordination of construction.
- Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
- Provide field inspections for quality & quantity of work.
- Interact with in-house and consulting engineers, operations, municipalities, contractors.
- Assist engineers in plan preparation to reduce the chance for conflicts during construction and to provide value engineering input.
- Coordinate field changes with engineers.
- Prepare and monitor the progress of punch lists.
- Establish risk factors, then manage and mitigate them to ensure the construction goes smoothly.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols on all projects.
- Oversee start-up, testing, and final acceptance procedures.
- Coordinate equipment training processes necessary with Operations Staff
- Maintain relationships.
- Read and interpret construction related manuals, reports, and safety rule.
- Must be able to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Construction related field or Civil Engineering preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, post-accident and random testing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or approved equivalent.
- Must have the experience and knowledge to support civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting and design of construction projects, construction quality standards and methods of construction.
- Strong leadership, people and communication skills.
- Ability to identify and solve complex construction scheduling and coordination situations.
- Ability to work early and/or late hours as necessary.
- Clean AZ Driver’s License and willing to drive throughout the greater Phoenix Area and Tucson to manage active projects.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pound at a time.
- May require travel.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
Pay Depending on experience.
