Position Summary: Oversees daily operations of the medical clinic facilities, provides administrative support to the Chief nursing officer. Works closely with the Chief nursing officer, Medical and clinical staff. Oversees the hiring and training of staff members, liaise for patients and healthcare professionals, coordinates patient care plans. Works closely with staff to ensure patient centered activities.
Job Responsibilities
Handles clinic routine operations.
Responsible for managing all clinic staff. This includes training, education, and evaluation of staff.
Ensuring patient care and excellent customer service according to district standards.
Help coordinate community programs, including health education, annual health fair, and other marketing duties as assigned.
Maintain quality assurance and improvement program of the clinic to ensure ongoing evaluations of offerings.
Provides/develops resources of education for providers and staff to fully support them.
Examine and resolve complaints from staff, visitors, patients and providers.
Act as liaison between clinics and ancillary departments.
Oversee all aspects of the electronic medical records system; work closely with IT to ensure effective use and proper maintenance including updates as necessary
Guide and support participation in patient care delivery regularly.
Responsible for clinic inventory and supply ordering process. Works closely with materials management department. Orders equipment as necessary, facilitates staff having resources/equipment to do their work.
Works closely with Revenue Cycle Manager regarding scheduling and billing.
Support policy formulation and execute budget by providing financial projections during budget development.
Prepare/Manage reports for communication in provider/clinic monthly meetings
Oversight of timely provider documentation and completion
Explain/demonstrate good workplace behavior and identify issues and use resources to resolve.
Understand future staffing requirements and create, execute and support clinical staff recruitment and retention strategies.
Improve staff/patient interactions through patient satisfaction tools.
Handle clinic schedules that include patient, staff, and provider’s calendars.
Establish specific policies and procedures related to Rural Health clinic regulations.
Accessing and utilizing data from the EMR and other software to inform and promote quality of care and better business practices.
Resolves any clinical-administrative problems and keeps lines of communication open with staff to ensure high employee morale and engagement, and professional, healthful clinic practice atmosphere.
Continuously evaluates future community needs to expand clinical services.
Attend management meetings as scheduled.
Participates on committees as necessary.
Ensure that all work areas are OSHA and HIPAA compliant.
Oversee and develop programs in Care Coordination, Annual Wellness Visits and Chronic Case Management and oversite of Care Coordinators, or Community Health Workers.
Ability to delegate tasks, as needed
May work hands on-i.e. patient intake, rooming, vaccinations, ect.
May occasionally fill shifts in other areas of the organization that fall within their education/training capacity.
Share administrative on-call across organization.

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
RN required
With current Washington License preferred
Training and Experience:
Three to five years experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting preferred
Previous customer service & medical office experience preferred
Rural Health Clinic Experience Strongly Preferred
Clinic management experience Strongly Preferred
