ABOUT THIS ROLE
The system administrator for East Bay Tire ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer network and all connected PCs and peripherals, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links, virtualization implementation, and deployment. The administrator also analyzes and resolves end-user hardware and software computer problems promptly and accurately, providing end-user training where required. This role will be in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in systems administration, IT support, or related fields.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Microsoft Azure - Working knowledge of cloud services, resource management and security.
- Networking Protocols - Deep understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and experience with network services like DNS, DHCP, and VLAN configuration.
- Active Directory & Azure AD - Strong experience with on-premises and cloud-based Active Directory for user management, group policies, and hybrid configuration.
- Office 365 Proficiency - Strong working knowledge of the Office 365 platform, including administration, user management and troubleshooting.
- VEEAM Backup & Replication - Strong experience with Veeam for backup and disaster recovery.
- Microsoft Hyper-V - Familiarity with Hyper-V for virtualization management.
- Unifi Network Management - Hands-on experience with Unifi network devices and configuration
- Linux System Administration - Proficient in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based servers.
- Network Infrastructure - Proficiency in network cable termination, structured cabling and Wi-Fi access point deployment.
- Security Camera Systems - Experience with network camera installation and management.
- Printer Management & Deployment - Proficiency in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting networked printers.
- Business Central - Experience with administration and support of Business Central ERP is a plus.
- ManageEngine - Experience with ManageEngine tools is a plus.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
- Work in an environment where there can be medium to loud noise
- Routinely use computer equipment, including monitors, keyboards, etc.
- Frequently sit and stand to perform work, visit offices, attend meetings, and put supplies away, pack boxes, or put materials together
- A fast-paced environment that requires maintaining 99.9% uptime during business hours
- Inspections of cables in walls and ceilings to ensure network integrity. Requires the ability to crawl, climb, twist, bend, kneel, and reach to get to the cables.
- Occasional lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as servers, computers, and peripherals, for hardware management. Lifting requirement: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Travel Requirement: Occasional travel to East Bay Tire locations and training (40%).
