As a Barista Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading our team and ensuring our customers receive the highest quality service.
Job Summary: The Proudly Serving Starbucks Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store while delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising baristas, managing inventory, maintaining store standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Supervisor will also assist in training and developing team members to foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of baristas to deliver outstanding customer service and meet operational goals
- Customer Experience: Ensure all customers receive a warm welcome and a positive experience through efficient service and quality products
- Training & Development: Assist in training new team members on product knowledge, customer service skills, and store operations
- Store Operations: Oversee daily operations, including, but not limited to:
- Cash/credit transactions, drawer balancing & deposits
- Security protocol to ensure safety of assets, team members & guests
- Compliance with health and safety standards, including proper food storage, preparation, sanitation, and staff hygiene (i.e., PPE, handwashing, etc)
- Inventory management, including purchasing & receiving, stocking and rotation of stock to minimize waste
- Staffing & scheduling to ensure the store is properly staffed at all open times
- Actively working alongside staff to provide high quality service and to implement changes to operating procedures as necessary
- Problem-Solving: Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise in a timely and professional manner
- Sales Performance: Support team in achieving sales targets through effective merchandising and promotional strategies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Passion for coffee and knowledge of Starbucks products and culture is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Successful completion of a background check
- Ability to respond to difficult customer situations in a professional manner
- Willingness to complete appropriate training and obtain any required certifications for food handling & safety
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- May be required to carry, lift and move work-related supplies/equipment; ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Visual requirements include, but are not limited to the use of computer monitor and ability to read orders, recipes and instructions
- Manual dexterity to operate coffee machines and equipment; may experience repetitive motions using hands, fingers and wrists
