Job Summary

*Nanny/Household Management Role*

Pittsburgh, PA | Strip District

• Start Date: March 1st
• Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm; Guaranteed 24-30 hours/week; date nights or flexibility for occasional evening hours preferred; summers likely to include increased hours; days of the week flexible for the right fit
• Hourly Rate: $26-32
• Children: 6, 5, 4, 2, and baby due in March
• Paid Vacation: One week nanny’s choice, one week family’s choice, 1-2 sick/personal days, 3-4 paid holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Are you a patient, communicative, and experienced nanny who can help Mom effortlessly juggle multiple children simultaneously? Like jam to peanut butter, this large and loving family of seven is searching for an adaptable nanny who’ll blend in and make things smoother. (Who else is suddenly craving a PB&J sandwich?) Dad runs his own business, Mom takes care of the household full time, and you’ll have ample flexibility regarding your shifts for this dynamic hybrid role. Ideally, you’ll work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. These hours are adjustable for the right nanny and may change in the summer. Also, please expect to cover some occasional evening and date night shifts, similar to 12 pm - 8 pm (flexible!). This family lives in a spacious condo, and you’ll help Mom keep it tidy by assisting with a variety of tasks including the children’s laundry, preparing snacks and lunches and some light cleaning. Primarily, you’ll tag-team with Mom on childcare responsibilities. There are three boys (ages six, four, and two and a half) and one girl (aged five). A baby sibling is joining the joyful bunch in mid-March, which is when this role starts and intends to last for at least two years.  When the older kids are around, you’ll build with Legos, play with train sets, and draw magnificent works of art together. During the remainder of the school year, you will mainly assist Mom with caring for the younger 4 and two and a half year old boys while Mom adjusts with baby #5.  These children are independent and also enjoy quiet time watching educational programs. There’s a penicillin allergy, meals are enjoyed on a schedule, and sweets are strongly limited. We matched this family with their previous nanny three years ago, and she adored working for them.
