Hours: 37.5, M-F, onsite at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Hours are flexible as long as working a core schedule: ex. 8-4P, 8:30P-4:30P etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for but not limited to: handling day to day recruiting processes, sourcing and presenting candidates that are aligned to the position profile, managing the candidate experience and overseeing the applicant tracking system. The Specialist will process all recruitment-related administration within agreed timescales and providing excellent customer service. Will attend marketing and recruitment fairs, as well as, provide recommendations in order to recruit top talent. Duties may include collecting references, call center duties, maintaining file records, and other assigned tasks.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Associates degree in related field required, Bachelors degree preferred.
- PHR preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two or more years' experience within a recruiting/talent search environment.
- Two or more years of customer service experience.
COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to accurately evaluate candidates for our open positions.
- Able to learn and explain numerous occupations within the health system.
- Exceptional telephone skills including appropriate business phone etiquette and a clear, distinct voice and capacity for sales.
- Experience with manipulation of internet, social media sites, Microsoft Office products.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize without compromising quality of work.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Point of contact for onboarding concerns or issues for applicable service lines. Ensures that established processes are followed to ensure candidate experiences throughout the recruitment process meet a high standard level of communication, courtesy and follow-up.
- Services as Administrator of the Applicant Tracking System to include but not limited to, candidate documentation, reporting and training of managers and HR staff.
- Uses creative sourcing and recognized best practices in the specialty of talent acquisition to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for current and anticipated job openings. Recruits candidates via telephone, internet, e-mailings, social media and other effective avenues.
- Screen and pre-qualify applicant resumes, apply applicable policy and union criteria, select appropriate applicants for each specific position to move forward in the interview process.
- Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers’ interactions, and other recruiting activities in the applicant tracking system.
- Serves as initial point of contact for HRConnection inquiries regarding applicant tracking system, recruitment process, job requirements, third party vendors etc.
- Partners with hiring managers and participates in strategic planning for future talent needs.
- Acts as a liaison between the hiring manager and candidates during the interview/offer process.
- Provide initial salary recommendations for candidates.
- Collects references on candidates.
- Oversight of position requisition process, including education, training and monitoring requisition submittal and follow up. This is done with collaboration with business partners and talent manager.
- Tracks applicant and employee certification and licensure for compliance and follow-up with Business Partners.
- Attend career fairs & networking events. (These may be out of regular scheduled hours, will flex time accordingly)
- Maintain good relationship with team, candidates, employees and clients. Maintains relationships and contracts with third party agencies/vendors.
- Assistant onboarding new hires if needed through communication with staff, managers and education. This can include new employee orientation facilitation.
- Reviews Personnel Action Records when submitted to HR to ensure established policies and procedures have been followed.
- Assist in providing vacancy and recruitment reports for tracking purposes.
- Develops and maintains business relationships with third party agencies/vendors. Negotiates contracts with third party agencies/vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
