What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Program Manager position at Eastern Sports Management?
The Fredericksburg Field House is accepting applications for a Youth Programs Manager to guide and execute the facility’s youth-related programming strategies. The Youth Programs Manager reports to the General Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Make key decisions regarding youth programs (such as camps, sports instructional classes, birthday parties, etc.) in collaboration with the Sports Director and/or General Manager.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate the youth programs staff.
- Hold periodic youth staff meetings to review policies, procedures, updates, etc.
- Organize and execute all facets of assigned programs, including ideation, scheduling, marketing, registration, curriculum, staffing, execution, and evaluation.
- Ensure participant safety by adhering to established policies and procedures and properly document and report injuries or concerns.
- Resolve all customer-related matters while providing exceptional service.
- Establish rapport with parents and children to drive program enrollment and communicate with them regarding upcoming programs and events.
- Network within the community (i.e., engage schools, exhibit at camp fairs, etc.) to promote the youth program and drive overall youth participation.
- Create new revenue streams and identify best practices by benchmarking other youth programs and facilities.
- Explore new business opportunities by reaching out to potential vendors.
- Order and manage program supplies and equipment while adhering to budget.
- Prepare and manage the financials associated with assigned programs, including the annual budget.
