Eastern Auto Parts Distributors is looking to fill the Store Manager position at our Mount Holly Location!
Scheduled work hours are 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday and 7:30 am – 3:00 pm alternating Saturdays.
Summary of Description:
Proactively manage and perform the functions and tasks necessary to fulfill daily, weekly, and monthly store operations. Obtain the knowledge and training to perform all duties and take responsibility for the operation.
Essential Functions:
Staffing:
- Foster a positive work environment, while maintaining employee morale.
- Record all employee sick and vacation time.
- Report any and all employee concerns to the Zone Manager.
- Responsible for hiring drivers, stock and dispatch personnel, as well as terminations
- Perform annual performance review for all employees
- Implement and enforce company uniform policy
Operations:
- Complete knowledge of “Code Red Procedures”, including where to get your generator and power cords, and action needed to implement emergency plan.
- Handle customer problems and complaints on a daily basis. If assistance is needed contact your Zone Manager.
- Accounts receivable – responsible for collections on assigned accounts. Keeps the collections process moving while maintaining collection goals of 85% current at month’s end and 95% current on the 10th of each month. Coordinate with A/R contact in Langhorne.
- Maintain cash hook slips no older than 1 week.
- Know how to run/read receivable reports.
- Understand the A/R screen in the computer.
- Store opening/closing: build and maintain opening and closing procedures specific to location
- Respond to any burglar/fire alarm call for your location by going to the store and doing a walk through of the premises.
- Conduct monthly store meetings (before or after hours of operation)
- Conduct quarterly Driver Safety meetings (before or after hours of operation)
- Maintain schedules for all employees. Make sure all vehicles are on the road for the scheduled times no matter who calls out. Make necessary “on the fly” changes to driver schedule as needed. Manage the amount of vehicles on the road by adding vehicles when sales are strong or by removing vehicles when sales are declining.
- Maintain driver weekly hour budget
- Review employee time clock reports daily/weekly, making necessary corrections. Complete final weekly review and approve for HR/payroll on Monday mornings.
- Complete knowledge of our time and attendance program and request/approval process of paid time off
Work with dispatcher to develop delivery routes and times to maintain our goal of “CDT”, Consistent Delivery Times
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Review and maintain vehicle problem report log daily, making any necessary repairs timely.
- Proper processing of repair orders/invoices for any fleet repairs.
- E.O.M. fleet mileage and gas card reporting to office.
- Daily gas card log totaled and return to office daily.
- Maintain vehicle preventive maintenance schedule per company guidelines
- Maintain store cleanliness and appearance inside and outside.
- Review all morning reports and make necessary changes to open orders, daily inventory adjustment, sales overrides, buyouts, negative inventory, open purchase orders, and special order report.
- Settle cash register and credit card machine every evening before closing. You will be responsibility for its accuracy.
- Store the deposit and cash drawer overnight.
- Process customer labor claims on a timely basis and maintain labor claim log.
- Read and reply to emails frequently throughout the day.
Inventory & Warehouse:
- Complete knowledge of all scanning procedures through JMO.
- Oversee and give direction to stock/warehouse employees.
- Correct and maintain an accurate inventory through daily adjustments and spot checks.
- Perform physical inventory counts monthly on a rolling inventory schedule.
- Post/receive all incoming orders daily from daily stock transfers and outside vendor purchase orders.
- Create return transfers and return purchase orders daily to warehouses: New, Cores, Defectives.
- Pull and return overstock weekly to warehouse.
