Inside Sales Representative-Fluid Power

This position is responsible for supporting customers and outside sales personnel. You will provide technical support and application support to our customers and outside sales personnel and support customer inquiries and orders as needed.

Skills & Duties

  • Give technical advice and / or system recommendations to customers to help them achieve a solution to a problem.
  • Ability to cross-reference competitor products into existing product lines or have the initiative to find comparable products from alternate vendors.
  • Assist assigned outside salesman with quoting and developing new business.
  • Produce product quotes for customers while understanding the importance of accuracy, pricing, and volume levels.
  • Communicates back to customers and suppliers in a timely manner the progress of orders, quotes, and other information required.
  • Proactively work with new customers and current customers to gain additional business or specify new products.
  • Communicate problems and opportunities with outside salesmen for both assigned accounts and new developing accounts.
  • Communicates and follows up on all sales leads.
  • Communicates with purchasing to resolve supplier issues and special instructions regarding the purchase of product. Mocks, both direct and indirect, are entered correctly with the correct information to ensure proper handling.
  • Process customer returns in a timely and accurate manner. Complete all paperwork accurately and process credits and / or debits where necessary.
  • Follow procedures as defined for inside sales operations.

Education and / or experience

  • Two-year associate degree in Fluid Power Technology or similar
  • 5 years of experience in fluid power related position
