We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join our team in Culver City. This full-time position requires you to work on-site and is pivotal in managing and processing legal billing, appeals, and e-billing tasks across multiple platforms.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join our law firm. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and maintaining the accounts payable cycle across four offices, ensuring accurate coding, timely payments, and effective collaboration with the billing department. This position is hybrid following the initial training period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Management:
- Process, code, and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Generate checks for approved invoices.
- Manage credit card payments and related records.
- Check Requests:
- Process check requests for all four office locations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ledger Reconciliation:
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Billing Collaboration:
- Work closely with the billing department to address and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize billing knowledge (preferred) to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
- Vendor Communication:
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Knowledge of billing processes is a plus.
- Law firm experience is a MUST
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
