We are looking for a Payroll Analyst, taking on international payroll operations (payroll processing, reconciliations, support international payroll entity set up employee questions. etc.). We’re looking for someone who has international payroll operations experience, ideally with UK, Canada, Ireland, Switzerland, France, and Japan payroll experience. This person needs to be able to communicate complex and sensitive payroll information with employees in a clear and concise professional manner.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of international payroll processing and related accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll services to our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Execute full-cycle payroll processing for regular, off-cycle, severance, taxable benefits and equity compensation
- Perform payroll-related accounting tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and implement process improvements
- Assist in preparing payroll reports and analytics for management review
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-6 years of experience in international payroll operations, preferably in a high-growth technology company
- Proficient in payroll processing for various compensation types (regular, off-cycle, severance, taxable benefits, and equity)
- Strong knowledge of payroll-related accounting principles and practices
- Experienced with payroll journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Possess excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll/HRIS systems
Strong candidates may also:
- Have experience with international payroll processing
- Project management experience
- Experience in setting up new international payroll entities
