Eastridge Workforce Solutions is a leading provider of workforce management solutions, committed to connecting skilled professionals with meaningful career opportunities. We are looking for a 1st or 2nd Shift Machinist for a precision manufacturing company.
Job Summary:
The Machinist will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating various machining equipment to produce high-precision components. This role requires extensive knowledge of machining techniques, shop mathematics, and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and job layouts to execute machining tasks accurately.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, indicators, and vernier tools.
- Plan and lay out machining operations, perform complex machine setups, and adjust programs as needed.
- Operate milling machines, boring mills, engine lathes, tracer lathes, and drill presses.
- Machine various metals, including uncommon materials, with no supervision.
- Select appropriate speeds, feeds, operational sequences, and tooling for each task.
- Grind tools and machine components such as spin blocks, rollers, and rings.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring proper handling of materials and equipment.
- Follow PPE requirements and maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and job reporting.
- Perform other related duties as needed, including tasks associated with 2C and 3C machinists.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Trade school certification or equivalent experience in machining.
- Minimum of 10 years of machining experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid OSHA fork truck license and 1C & 3A hoisting licenses.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and ability to work well in a team.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English.
