What You’ll Do
Safety Leadership
- Lead a safety-first culture, improving workplace safety conditions and behaviors.
- Reduce injuries and near misses through proactive initiatives and compliance with OSHA standards.
- Conduct safety audits and maintain a comprehensive safety program.
Maintenance Excellence
- Develop and lead the maintenance department to ensure equipment reliability and readiness.
- Implement maintenance systems that minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
Material Flow & Inventory Management
- Streamline material flow and staging for production readiness.
- Enhance inventory accuracy and optimize material handling processes.
Facility Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient plant.
- Drive ergonomic improvements and enhance operational quality and efficiency.
Quality Assurance
- Oversee the quality lab and ensure adherence to ISO standards.
- Provide clear and effective procedures to support operational success.
Continuous Improvement
- Engage employees in continuous improvement efforts to foster innovation and collaboration.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies for process improvements.
Strategic Collaboration
- Partner with the Production Director to align plant goals and strategies.
- Support production success while maintaining focus on strategic leadership.
What You’ll Lead
- Oversee departments including Maintenance, Quality Lab, Receiving, Shipping, and Production Engineering.
- Collaborate on hiring and development for future roles, such as HES Manager and Material Flow Manager.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field (required).
- Experience: 8 years in manufacturing, with 4 years in leadership.
- Expertise: Proven success in safety, maintenance, material flow, and quality improvement.
- Skills:
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma expertise.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- ERP system experience and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Mindset: Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
