What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Corporate Accountant position at Ebenezer?
The Senior Accountant processes assigned entity monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations timely and accurately. This position also assists with external audits, tax returns, and reconciles intercompany activity, as well as assists in preparation of cost reports. The senior accountant helps train and mentor accounting and site staff.
This is a part time position working 40 hours every two weeks.

Responsibilities/Job Description:- Prepares and analyzes financial statements for facilities owned or managed by Ebenezer, which includes SNFs, senior housing, Assisted Living, Adult Day Care, HOAs.
- Prepares monthly journal entries to P & L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure proper and accurate recording of business activity.
- Prepares bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Assists in annual preparation of care center cost reports.
- Prepares work papers for external and internal auditors and consultants.
- Publishes monthly P & L’s in accordance with managed sites/corporate site requirements.
- Assists in any and all functions as requested to ensure the successful operation of the Accounting Department and achievement of corporate objectives.
- Serves as support and resource for Staff Accountants
- Extensive use of advanced Excel functions
Required:
- Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree: Accounting/Finance
- One to Three Years
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree: Accounting/Finance
- Three to Five Years
