Location: Florham Park, NJ

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000

About the Job:

We are seeking a Billing Coordinator to join our team at a mid-sized law firm with over 100 attorneys across six states. This position is based in the firm’s Florham Park office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing both electronic and paper billing for attorneys, ensuring billing accuracy and compliance with guidelines, and performing conflict searches. You will monitor the billing progress, ensuring that all line items are captured and that work in progress and other key components are billed on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage attorney billing (electronic and paper).
• Review files to ensure accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines.
• Follow up with internal and external parties as needed.
• Monitor billing progress and ensure timely billing of key components.
• Perform conflict searches as required.
• Maintain records of invoices and supporting documentation.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients.
• Handle a large volume of billing from initial matter intake through final bill production and submission.

Job Requirements:

• Law firm billing experience preferred.
• Experience with Elite or 3E accounting systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all parties (attorneys, staff, and clients).
• Ability to escalate issues as necessary and address them promptly.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work within time constraints and prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Some overtime may be required depending on business needs.
