What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Mechanical Insulator position at Eckhardt & Johnson, LLC?
This position provides help and support along with hands-on training on the insulation of plumbing, heating, and refrigeration piping systems, as well as insulating ductwork at job sites under the direct report of a Journeyman Insulator and Field Crew Leader. Critical responsibilities include effective communication with co-workers, project leader and other contractors/sub-contractors on-site; adherence to safety procedures; quality production & cost control; and other duties as necessary to facilitate the completion of assigned jobs in a timely manner.
As an Apprentice, you will work through our 4 year/8,000 hour training program with a dedicated mentor, and you may attend Tech classes working towards your Associates degree fully paid for by Eckhardt & Johnson. Raises are earned for every 1,000 hours of work completed.
