EMPath’s Career Family Opportunity (CFO) Program is a flagship, five-year asset-building program guiding 45-50 participants toward and beyond the Area Median Income (AMI) for Greater Boston. As a Mobility Mentor II, you’ll manage a caseload of 15-18 participants, fostering professional trust and coaching them to set and achieve meaningful goals. You will play an essential role in empowering individuals to build brighter futures.
Role Highlights
- One-on-One Mentorship: Co-invest with participants to develop actionable, participant-driven plans. Offer guidance through monthly goal-setting sessions and support each person’s journey toward economic mobility.
- Resource Curation and Referrals: Help participants identify and access valuable resources, leveraging internal and community networks to support their growth and success.
- Group Facilitation and Community Building: Lead workshops and group sessions, identifying learning needs in areas such as financial literacy, career development, and effective communication.
- Data-Driven Approach: Conduct and document assessments, monitor progress, and evaluate program impact to refine and enhance EMPath’s programs.
Qualifications
- 4 years experience in a human services organization
At least four years’ prior experience in Mentoring/Coaching low-income populations towards economic stability; strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience in coaching, social services, case management, or related fields.
- Strong facilitation skills, with a focus on building trust and supporting participant-driven progress.
- Familiarity with goal-setting frameworks like SMART Goals and executive functioning coaching.
