Responsibilities of the Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist:
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist to join our team. This individual will support the Air Force Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection (AF/A4) Directorate, serving as a technical writer, facilitator, and presenter for senior-level clients. The role involves managing security processes, developing key documentation, and contributing to strategic initiatives for the U.S. Air Force.
The Office Security and Sustainment Support Specialist will:
- Develop and maintain AF/A4 information security, industrial security, personnel security, PII, and SAF Security documentation. Write and revise key DoD strategies, reports, papers, and other documentation for the client’s organization (40%).
- Manage A4 COOP/CAT program appointments, scheduling, and recalls for A4 programs (20%).
- Process security clearances, verify document signatures and processes, and ensure timely execution of security protocols (20%).
- Assist the A4 Director of Staff with security-related projects (10%).
- Analyze requirements, strategize solutions, and pitch proposals to clients on new IT capabilities within their technology portfolio (10%).

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Active Top-Secret clearance is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security or office sustainment roles.
- At least 5 years of experience working with the US Air Force.
- Familiarity with SAP Security per Department of Defense Manual 5205.07, Volume 1.
- Strong writing skills with prior experience in technical or formal writing (e.g., proposals, technical reports, whitepapers).
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical audiences.
- Proven client relationship management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Excellent presentation skills with experience presenting to senior clients or representing clients in key forums.
- Interest in Information Technology; a background in IT is not required but is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience taking detailed minutes at high-level meetings is strongly preferred.
