Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Buyer to join our procurement team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to start their career in supply chain management. The Junior Buyer will assist with purchasing activities, vendor management, and inventory control, supporting the overall goals of our procurement department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the procurement of raw materials, parts, and supplies.
- Help negotiate with suppliers to obtain products at the best cost.
- Process purchase orders and track the status of orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain and update records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
- Support the Senior Buyer and other department members in managing inventory and cost control.
- Participate in the development of procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a buying or procurement role (internship experience acceptable).
- Basic understanding of supply chain processes and vendor management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with purchasing software.
