Junior Buyer

We have a client located on the east side of Houston looking to hire a junior buyer.  This company designs and builds custom equipment used in power generation across a variety of industries.  This is a long term contract role that would have a high likelihood of converting to direct in the future along with a promotion track.

Responsibilities:

• Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
• Work  to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products
• Effectively communicate with the management team to ensure all orders are accurate
• Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree required
• Preference is for 0-2 years experience
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with a large number of transactions.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
