At Eden Health, we are seeking a skilled Correctional Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This role requires a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, as well as an unrestricted license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, etc.). Counseling experience in correctional settings is preferred.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds. A background check and drug screening are mandatory for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address patient needs.
- Perform psychosocial assessments to identify patient strengths and challenges.
- Provide crisis intervention services to support patients in crisis.
- Coordinate care for patients, working closely with healthcare providers and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date treatment plans, ensuring patient progress and goals are met.
- Participate in regular team meetings to share knowledge and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on mental health topics.
- Document patient records accurately and efficiently.
