Certified Medication Technician , also called CMTs, are an integral part of a resident's return to daily activities by providing support, care, and administering medications.

Certified Medication Technician , also called CMTs, are an integral part of a resident's return to daily activities by providing support, care, and administering medications.
Responsibilities Include
- Providing assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) by assisting with any and all needs the residents may have, including but not limited to activities such as: bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, mobility, toileting and eating while not handling medications.
- Maintain a consistent charting rhythm with all residents in their care, following the medication administration requirements for each individual resident.
- Reporting to their wing or charge nurse any changes in the resident needs or condition.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures with regards to the safety and security of themselves, the residents, and any guests.
- Treats all residents with respect and dignity.
- Follows the instructions and direction from leadership as well as working in conjunction with other floor staff including nurses and other aides.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate active in the state of Minnesota .
- Current Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certificate active in the state of Wisconsin.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others.
- Ability to understand and follow CMT work assignments.
- Ability to work as part of a team with fellow CMTs and other staff.
