Position Overview
We are seeking Journeyman Electricians to join our growing team in Austin, TX. Our electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems.
As a Journeyman you will:
- Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom, and other systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and alarm systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility
- Assemble and install conduits, then connect wiring through them
- Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables
- Diagnose electrical hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged units
- 5 years of electrical experience in commercial, or industrial settings
- Tenant Improvement experience (Class A)
- Ability to complete projects from start to finish independently
- Experience with lighting control systems
- Proficiency in conduit installation, wiring, panel systems, and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- TDLR Journeyman Electrician License
- Willingness to pass a drug screening
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to accurately identify wires and perform electrical tests
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of circuits and electrical systems
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Works harmoniously with others to complete tasks efficiently
- Expresses ideas clearly in verbal and written form
- Follows instructions accurately and processes detailed information effectively

- Overtime and extended hours may be necessary to meet deadlines
