Overview
EDU-AIDs is seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Counselor to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and be committed to providing high-quality mental health support to clients. This role involves working with diverse populations, including individuals needing psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, and specialized therapies such as art and dance therapy. The Clinical Counselor will also engage in telehealth services, ensuring accessibility for clients.
Requirement:
grades K-5; one day/week
grades 6-12; two days/week
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including psychotherapy and behavioral therapy.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and goals.
- Implement specialized therapeutic approaches such as art therapy and dance therapy to promote emotional expression and healing.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care, including referrals for additional services when necessary.
- Engage in clinical research activities to contribute to the advancement of mental health practices.
- Provide support for geriatric clients, addressing their unique psychological and emotional needs.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver counseling services remotely.
Experience
- A master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
- Licensure or certification as a clinical counselor or therapist is preferred.
- Experience in conducting psychotherapy and behavioral therapy is essential.
- Familiarity with art therapy, dance therapy, telehealth practices, and clinical research methodologies is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working with geriatric populations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds are essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.16 - $38.58 per hour
Expected hours: 21 – 24 per week
