Position Overview:
We are looking for a nurturing and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our child care team. In this role, you will work with children aged 6 weeks to 1 year, providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where infants can thrive. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care to infants, ensuring their health, safety, and emotional well-being.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory and motor development.
- Establish a consistent routine for feeding, sleeping, and playtime, tailored to each child’s needs.
- Foster a warm, responsive, and nurturing environment where infants feel secure and loved.
- Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication about their child’s daily routines, progress, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with state regulations and health standards.
- Observe and document each child’s growth, learning, and behavior, providing ongoing assessments to parents and administrators.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
- Experience working with infants in a licensed child care setting.
- Understanding of infant development and care practices.
- Excellent communication skills, with a warm and patient demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow safety and care routines.
License/Certification:
- PA State Child Care Certification or Infant/Toddler Montessori Certification (preferred).
- CPR/First Aid Certification (required or willing to obtain).
- Child Abuse, Criminal, and FBI Clearances (required).
