The Third Party Resilience (TPR) Senior Manager will join the Business Resilience department as it grows, scales, and matures the firm's Business Resilience Program. The Senior Manager will assist in creating capabilities within Business Resilience to better understand and manage the firm's Third Party Resilience risks and enhance the program in coordination with our internal partners. This includes the ongoing design and management of the Third Party Resilience framework: identifying, measuring, responding to, managing, and reporting on the risks to the firm's resilience.

The Senior Manager will:
  • Lead the Third Party Resilience Program as part of the overall Business Resilience department
  • Serve as a member of cross functional teams, contributing to alignment of Business Resilience strategies with internal partners
  • Contribute to the establishment, maintenance, and embedding of the Third Party Resilience framework, policies, and programs
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk, Third Party Risk, Sourcing, Legal, Internal Audit, and other Risk Partners to ensure internal and external requirements are being met and comply with the firm’s business and infrastructure resilience strategies
  • Clearly communicate highly business concepts to all levels of the firm, including Sr. Leadership, in both written and oral form, to effectively influence critical decisions or actions
  • Proactively work to impact current and future business results and decisions
  • Participate in and leading exercises to test the capacity and effectiveness of the resilience, recovery, & response plans
Responsibility Summary
  • Lead, support and improve the Business Resilience Program by leveraging insights from the enterprise, segment, and functional areas of the firm to make recommendations to evolve the program.
  • Contribute to the establishment of the firm's risk framework and supporting its implementation in Business Resilience. Become an expert in the systems and processes related to the role and execute effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop, prepare, and enhance reporting packages to be shared with senior leadership on recurring basis. Analyze and explain trends to facilitate discussions and support business decisions. Leverage management reporting, summaries, and recommendations to manage risks and make trade-offs.
Functional Skills

  • Serve as a trusted resilience expert and partner to key stakeholders. Leads team (formal or informal) to support stakeholders in delivery of resilience objectives, using industry and resilience knowledge to ensure objectives align to stakeholder needs. Demonstrates expertise beyond department function, an externally informed point of view, and knowledge of emerging trends.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory and firm requirements and how they impact the program. Regularly partner with Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, other risk partners, and business areas to ensure regulatory requirements are being met and comply with the firm’s resiliency strategy.
  • Ability to deliver KPIs and dashboards to facilitate discussions and decision making. Integrates information into department framework and planning processes, to drive accountability. Ability to tell resilience performance story to key stakeholders, leading to insights and action.

  • The level of authority for making decisions and the degree of risk involved (the extent to which decisions are made without review and the corresponding business impact of those decisions). The extent to which decisions are governed by precedent, procedures and guidelines versus broad direction.
  • Contribute to process of setting a clear team vision, mission and strategy, tied to annual objectives.
Span of Influence
  • Develop and maintain a trusted and diverse network of relationships in and beyond the BR Program and through external relationships in the industry.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in support of assigned segment/functional/firm business objectives, working in a matrixed organization.

Delivers results and creates a high performing team environment. Qualifications Required in the Job:

Education/Certification
  • Required – Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Information Services
  • Preferred – Masters Degree (ex: MBA)
  • Required – Have or willing to obtain Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) certification
Years of Relevant Experience
  • Required – 6 Years of Experience in Risk Management, Business Resilience, Technology or related work experience
  • Preferred – Financial Services Industry experience
Technical Skills
  • Required – Business Continuity Planning, Third Party Resilience, Governance, and/or Risk Management experience
  • Preferred – Financial Services Industry experience
  • Required – Strong written and verbal communication skills
Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Salary : $92,984 - $158,325
