As the Director of Sales for EF Gap Year, you will oversee and lead a dynamic team of B2C sales professionals focused on selling educational travel programs to college-aged students and their families. Your role will involve driving sales performance, optimizing outreach strategies, and coaching your team to meet and exceed targets while working collaboratively across the organization to enhance the customer experience and expand market share.
The role is based in EF’s Boston office and requires an in-office presence with the team three days a week, with two days ability to work from home. If you are not located in Boston, please outline in your cover letter your plan to relocate.
What you will be responsible for :
- Manage an inside sales team responsible for converting leads into enrolled students for EF Gap Year programs, targeting college-aged students and their families.
- Oversee all sales activities, ensuring alignment with EF’s broader educational portfolio, while holding team members accountable for achieving and surpassing individual and collective sales targets.
- Establish and communicate clear, measurable sales goals for each team member, actively tracking their progress and performance through regular reporting, weekly one-on-one coaching sessions / meetings, and performance reviews.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet monthly and annual revenue goals, ensuring the team is consistently exceeding KPIs related to lead conversion, student enrollments, and customer satisfaction.
- Inspire and empower both junior and senior sales professionals, cultivating a positive, high-energy, and goal-oriented team environment.
- Facilitate the professional development of team members by identifying their strengths, areas for improvement, and providing training opportunities to advance their careers within the organization.
- Act as a thought leader within the organization, continuously identifying opportunities to innovate and optimize sales processes, technology, and outreach strategies.
- Proactively monitor industry trends, student behavior, and competitive landscape to adapt sales strategies, ensuring EF Gap Year remains a market leader in educational travel and student enrichment programs.
- Establish strong relationships with product development, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for prospective students and families.
