Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting, evaluating, and placing job candidates. The Staffing Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting and the development and execution of effective recruitment plans and selection strategies for assigned business/customers/skill areas. The Recruiter must be able to build rapport with candidates, manage client relationships, and perform onsite responsibilities to ensure smooth recruitment and onboarding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management and Onsite Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their staffing needs are met.
- Conduct site visits to client locations approximately 30% of the week.
- Meet new hires, conduct site tours, and perform regular check-ins at various sites.
- Manage relationships with clients at locations
Recruitment and Sourcing:
- Develop and implement recruiting strategies that produce the highest quality candidate slate.
- Keep abreast of evolving industry trends, best practices, and leading-edge sourcing streams, adjusting strategy and tactics as needed.
- Source, prescreen, schedule, and send out onboarding information to potential candidates.
- Conduct thorough behavioral interviews to select the best-fit candidates for submission to hiring managers.
- Build applicant sources by researching and using community organizations, colleges, internet sites, social media, and utilizing third party connections such as MI Works etc.
Onboarding and Orientation:
- Conduct 1st Day Completion Calls to all new hires.
- Assist with candidate onboarding and orientations, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
- Sign I-9 forms, check E-Verify, and update Avionte status and stage with notes as needed.
- Conduct and document background checks and drug screens as required by clients.
Administrative Support:
- Answer and manage inbound calls, directing them to appropriate departments as needed.
- Email receipts/invoices to payroll, verification forms to the verification team, and timecards to the payroll team.
- Manage any walk-in traffic and maintain office inventory, including drug screens and other supplies.
Office Maintenance and Coordination:
- Open the office daily, including setting up coffee, water, and straightening the lobby area.
- Wipe down common areas and conduct a final wipe down of all common areas and door handles at the end of the day.
Daily and Weekly Tasks:
- Participate in daily huddle calls and share your #1 priority for the day and any challenges.
- Participate in the staffing weekly forecast review (Friday).
- Update Align priority and weekly scorecard metrics.
Compliance and Legal:
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation, influencing managers to comply with regulations, and recommending appropriate procedures and processes.
- Manage the candidate life-cycle in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure compliance with all mandated legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3 years sourcing/full-cycle recruiting experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration are a plus.
- Proven experience as a recruiter, staffing coordinator, or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office software.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses a valid driver’s license.
