About the Position
The Project Manager/Estimator role involves overseeing and estimating projects related to environmental abatement, including asbestos, lead, and mold removal. The position requires strong project management skills, client interaction, and the ability to generate accurate estimates based on various project requirements. The role is integral to ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining positive relationships with clients and team members.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Review survey reports, lab results & site plans.
- Follow up on leads, open estimates and scheduling.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Generate estimates based on labor, material, and time requirements by thoroughly reviewing reports, blueprints, specifications, and associated documents.
- Conduct on-site visits to facilities and meeting with potential or existing clients.
- Evaluate project performance using suitable tools and techniques including the analysis of collected data and metrics.
- Prepare and effectively manage weekly job schedules based on project progress.
- Perform site visits to ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with clients explaining job scope and details.
- Ensure safety of personnel and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- Possess and maintain a valid PA Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required and post-secondary vocational training or technical school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- Strongly preferred experience in Construction or Abatement Project Management.
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office so you have a strong understanding of applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including the capability to perform basic to advanced functions like formatting documents, creating spreadsheets with formulas and charts, and designing professional presentations.
- Experience in construction takeoff software is a plus.
- Proven working experience in project management.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
