The ideal candidate will assist a partner in all stages of plaintiff personal injury litigation matters. This individual should be comfortable drafting pleadings, conducting research, client communication, case management, scheduling depositions, negotiating liens with healthcare providers, preparing discovery, and handling a personal injury caseload from inception to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant facts
- Assist with case organization and management
- Prepare and electronically file court documents
- Coordinate calendars and schedule legal proceedings
- Negotiate with healthcare providers regarding outstanding liens
- Prepare and finalize closing documents for settlements
- Schedule and coordinate logistical aspects of legal proceedings
Requirements:
At least 8 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal
A paralegal certification is advantageous but not mandatory
