Our office is seeking a full time experienced legal assistant to work closely with a partner in our busy firm with general litigation, agricultural and employment files. We are searching for an employee who is organized, proactive and detail oriented. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Will work primarily under the direct supervision of one general litigation partner at the firm. Must be able to assist in all aspects of trial litigation practice (discovery, motions, pleadings, etc.) as well as maintaining attorney calendar by scheduling all litigation related events. Must also be able to interact in a respectful and professional manner with clients, state and federal court systems and opposing counsel.
Skills / Qualifications
- Prior New Jersey Legal assistant experience
- MUST have Litigation experience
- Assist attorney in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and as a team player willing to work closely with attorneys in the office
- Attention to detail
