We are seeking a skilled Mig/Tig Welder to join our team focused on aerospace parts manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have experience in welding operations, specifically in Mig and Tig processes, with a keen attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Mig and Tig welding on aerospace parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
- Set up welding machines based on job requirements, ensuring proper settings for material type and thickness.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards for aerospace applications, including dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to resolve any welding issues and improve processes.
- Document welding parameters, procedures, and inspection results accurately.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mig/Tig welder, preferably in aerospace or a related industry.
- Proficiency in Mig and Tig welding techniques, with the ability to weld various metals and alloys commonly used in aerospace manufacturing.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding procedures and specifications related to aerospace standards (e.g., AWS D17.1, ASME, ASTM).
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding certification(s) such as AWS certification or equivalent.
- Previous experience with aerospace welding applications.
- Familiarity with CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
Working Hours: 6:00am-3:00pm
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
